The Rhode Island Marine Trades Association (RIMTA) represents all aspects of the recreational boating industry in its home state. We are dedicated to growing Rhode Island’s marine trades through advocacy, education, and promotion and positioning the Ocean State as a worldwide leader in the marine industry.

The Vision – Position Rhode Island as a worldwide leader in the marine industry

The Mission – Grow the Rhode Island marine industry through advocacy, education and promotion

If you are a marine-trades company working in Rhode Island and you are not yet a RIMTA member, click here: http://rimta.org/index.php/membershipmember-benefits/

RIMTA members are involved in a wide range of marine-trades activity; the membership base of some 300 companies includes boat builders, manufacturers, marinas, boatyards, service providers, retail and wholesale outfits, educational institutions and other organizations.

Founded in 1964, RIMTA today is engaged in a diverse set of issues on behalf of its members; the organization’s Board of Directors represents all facets of the industry and chair committees on Boat Shows, Boating Safety, Dealers, Education & Training, Ferries & Charters, Fisheries, Legislative, Manufacturing, Marinas, Membership, and Yacht Clubs.

RIMTA owns and manages the Providence Boat Show, held annually in the early winter at the Rhode Island Convention Center.
